Ruth Littlefield

Ruth McClain Littlefield, age 92, of Kanawha City passed away at her residence on Wednesday, October 23, 2019.

Ruth was born in Spartanburg, SC on March 19, 1927, daughter of the late John M and Oni McClain.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, B.E. Littlefield and daughter, Trudy Meyers.

Alpha and Paul Walker

She was born Alpha Naomi Cyfers in April of 1931 at Greenville, WV; the fourth of five children. After a very long illness, Alpha passed away on October 23, 2019 at Redstone Village in Huntsville, AL
He was born Dennis Paul Walker in March of 1925 at Oceana, WV the second of five children.

Harold Hall, Sr.

Harold Gene Hall, Sr., 84, of South Charleston passed away peacefully, at Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston, on October 19, 2019 after a short illness.
Harold was born on August 18, 1935 in South Charleston, WV to the late Sylvia Eplin Hall and John Shelby Hall.

Carole Susanne Straight, age 70, of South Charleston passed away Friday October 18, 2019 at her residence after an extended illness.
Susanne “Susie” was born at Dunn Hospital in South Charleston and grew up in Rock Lake Village

Janice Snyder

Janice Faye Rhodes Snyder, 68, of South Charleston, WV, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Thomas Hubbard Hospice House West, after her battle with a long, rare, neurodegenerative disease, Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), Janice made the decision several years ago to donate her vital organs to The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, where they conduct extensive research on MSA. This was the ultimate gift, made possible with the help of CORE. It was her hope, that one day they may find a cure for MSA.

G.W. “Bill” Joseph

G.W. “Bill” Joseph, 95, of Charleston, passed away on Monday, October 14, 2019 at home.
He was born on January 22, 1924 to the late George W. and Elsie Cook Joseph in Wheeling, WV.

Harry Wade Basham, a long-time South Charleston resident and former Charleston businessman, passed away at his home on October 15, 2019 after a long illness.

Born on July 12, 1932 in Charleston, he was the son of the late Luther C. and Pearl Basham.

Geneva Mae Clemons, 88, of South Charleston, passed away on October 13, 2019 at home.
Geneva, known to her friends as Jennie or Clem, was born in Clendenin, WV to the late Mae and John Church Murdock. 

Ufa Sweet

Ufa Mae Sweet, 84, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away on October 9, 2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born in South Charleston on August 13, 1935 to the late William Martin and Opal Julia Mallory. 

Tim Kirby

Tim Kirby, 61, of Charleston, passed away on October 7th, 2019, at home. 
Tim was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, and raised in South Charleston with his brother and sisters. He attended West Virginia University and worked at Tidewater Grill in downtown Charleston, where he became the General Manager.
