Our services include full traditional services as well as many different budget- friendly options for those families who are looking for different ways to Honor the Life of their loved one.
Catering Services
For many different reasons, families find themselves searching for a place to gather and share a meal or have snacks while they visit with extended family and friends. At Snodgrass, we understand this need and offer a wide variety of catering options to you.

Veteran Services

Cremation Services
Funeral homes often engage the services of a local crematory. Crematories provide the actual cremation with reverence and dignity and are regulated and inspected by state and federal agencies. We are here to answer any questions that you may have about cremation.

We offer all goods, services, and our facilities to everyone without extra charges for the disabled, or for deaths related to AIDS or other illnesses. We will read any and all documents to anyone desiring this due to any form of disability. We are a complete handicapped accessible facility, with our entrance, restrooms, public areas, and parking lots accessible to the disabled.
Right of Selection
The goods and services shown here are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any item you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you select.
Credit Policy
One of the most important responsibilities we have to each family we are privileged to serve is to carefully listen and bring your emotional and financial needs together. Our experienced staff will guide you through the arrangement and selection process to Honor the Life of your loved one in a meaningful and appropriate way that meets your individual needs.
We are totally dependent on the families we serve for prompt payment. It is not our policy to extend credit or payments over a period of time. If there are no assets or life insurance policies to secure payment, the balance will be due in full prior to services being scheduled. These requirements were adopted to insure we meet our financial obligations, and thus remain able to continue providing our families the quality services and facilities they expect from Snodgrass Funeral Home.
A secured payment option must be selected at the time of the arrangements. We reserve the right to require payment in full before any services are scheduled or carried out. We reserve the right to charge interest at 12% annum compounded from date of contract and will be added to any balance due after 30 days from the date of death, as well as any additional fees incurred as a result of collections including, but not limited to, late fees and attorney fees.
- Cash, Check, Money Order or Cashier’s Check: We reserve the right to require payment in full prior to any services being scheduled. A $50.00 fee will be charged on all returned checks.
- We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express: all services and merchandise, however cash advance items, cemetery related items, sales tax and other miscellaneous items including but not limited to transportation are all subject to an additional 4% convenience fee or may be paid separately using cash, check, money order or cashier’s check. Payment in full is required upon receipt of the final invoice being provided.
- Life Insurance Policies: A valid assignable policy must be presented at the time of the arrangements and must be verified by the funeral home. The beneficiary (s) of the policy will be required to sign the working and final invoice as well as the insurance assignment. We will not accept any policy 2 years old or less as these policies are in a contestability period and we do not accept Accidental Life Insurance Policies. We will assist you with this process however, the person(s) will be financially responsible should the policy not pay for any reason. If the policy is not assignable, we reserve the right to require another form of payment. We will assist you with the process of submitting your claim either way.
- Third Party Provider: The family may request financial assistance from a third-party provider such as a lending institution or a bank and provide proof of secured funds before services will be scheduled.
- Preneed Policies: Transferred from another funeral home. We will consider all transferable policies to see if they can be accepted “as is”, however we reserve the right to use those funds from another funeral home preneed as a “credit only” toward our total costs. These policies must be verified and fully transferable to be used. This applies to a preneed or at need situation. This does not apply to any preneed policies written by Snodgrass Funeral Home.
- Preneed Policies Written By Snodgrass Funeral Home: Any funds due to or from the funeral home will be due or paid when the final invoice is presented and all guaranteed adjustments are made.
- State of West Virginia Indigent Burial Fund: All requirements must be met to use this method of payment including an approved application receipt from the state and payment in full from the family before any services will be carried out. Services are limited according to the state law.
