Roland Jason Hunt, 46, departed this world on April 18, 2024, and hopefully entered into God’s loving arms. He was born on September 14, 1977.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father, Roland Grey Hunt; his beloved grandmother, Delena W. Howery; his aunt, Deitra Susan Howerton; and many others from his family, including two of his uncles.

Roland is survived by his mother, Janietta Grace Hunt; brother, Jonathan Ray Hunt; daughter, Valorie Carol Hammons; granddaughter, Geneive Caroline Hammons; and nephews, Hatcher Hunt and Henry Hunt, whom he loved very much.

He was employed by Lowe’s Home Improvement Store at Southridge, where he never missed work. Wherever Jason was employed, he gave 100%!

A memorial service to Honor the Life of Roland will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2024, at the Dunbar Church of Christ on 15^th Street, Dunbar, WV. A dinner will follow the memorial service in the Church Activity Building next door to the Sanctuary.

The family would like to thank everyone for the love, prayers, and kindness at this very difficult time. Roland will be sadly missed.
