Claude E. Covert, 93 of Dunbar, WV. went to be with the lord on Aug 17th, 2026
He was born April 5th, 1933, in Redhouse, WV. In 1953 he was drafted into the Army during the Korean war.
He honorably served 2 years as a SCARWAF engineer mostly in Newfoundland.
He was an auto technician for over 40 years. He loved to cook and have an “occasional” adult beverage.
He also enjoyed working in his garden and spending time with his family.
Claude was preceded in death by his Mother Mable Rayburn and his sister Phyllis Starcher.
He is survived by his loving wife Phyllis Covert his sons Claude Jr. (Crystal) of St. Albans
Joseph (Kristine) of Reisterstown, MD. Jeffrey (Elizabeth) Cottrill of Enterprise; Grandchildren David (Amy) of Nitro, Shayna of St. Albans, Duncan of Enterprise and four great grandchildren Jasmine, Hayden, Serina and Olivia. Per his request there will be no public service.
