Eloise Joyce Lane, 93, of South Charleston, WV, passed away on August 26, 2026, at Hubbard Hospice.

She was bon May 3, 1933, to the late Elmer and Hannah Sigmon Bailey. She graduated from South Charleston High School in 1951 and was a homemaker for many years. After she raised her children, she worked for several years as a cook for Kanawha County Schools. She was a regular attendant at South Charleston Christian Church until COVID and then faithfully watched their sermons online every Sunday.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded

in death by her husband Jack, daughter Susan “Beth” Lane, son Joseph Lane, grandson Robert Lane, and her sisters Juanita Hill and Lillian Fife.

She is survived by her daughter Cheryl (Larry) Weese of Cross Lanes, son Gregory Lane of Hilton Head, SC, grandchildren Brandon Lane, Shawn (Sarah) Lane, Christina (Dennis) Neufeld, Kayla (BJ) Evans and Nathan Weese, and great-grandchildren Bennett, Ridgely, Rockland, Nolan, and Jasper and two step-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service to honor the life of Eloise will be held  at 1:30 pm, Sunday, August 30, 2026, in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. with Pastor Mike Rader officiating.  Friends may visit from 12:00-1:00pm Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Snodgrass Funeral Home in South Charleston.
