Annette Samms Robinson, 97, went home to be with her Heavenly Father and her loving husband, William “Bill” Robinson, on February 15, 2024. Annette and Bill were married in 1946 after he returned from serving his country in WWII, and they were blessed with a loving marriage of 65 years. She also deeply loved Jesus, her family, her friends, and her church.

Annette was preceded in death by her father, Mallie H. Samms, and her mother, Anna Elizabeth Samms; her brothers: John Wesley, William “Bill,” Kenneth “Ed,” Mallie Jr., Vernon, and Robert “Bob.”

She is survived by her daughter, Suzette Southern (Bob) from Mint Hill, NC, and her son, William “Jimmy” Robinson of Charleston; grandchildren: William “Billy” (Michelle) Robinson, Mellissa Smith of Monroe, NC, Erik Markus (Lisa) of Matthews, NC, and Kelly Hawkins of Charleston; great-grandchildren: Deanna Smith, Sami Robinson, Matthew Markus, Emma Hawkins, and Michael Markus.

Annette was blessed in her latter years to have wonderful caregivers: Sheri Barker, Bonnie Bishop, Teresa Diaz, Patricia Thomas, Terri Sigmon, and Ann Godbey. Annette was a blessing to all who knew her and she will be missed!

A Service to Honor the Life of Annette will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, WV.
