Judith G. Lovell
Judith G. Lovell, of Kanawha City, passed away on April 29, 2026, at the Hubbard Hospice House.
Born on December 6, 1939 in Charleston, West Virginia, Judith (commonly known as Judy) attended Morris Harvey College, where she met her loving husband of 28 years, Francis O. Lovell, Jr. She was an active member of the Garden Club and the United Methodist Church. Judy dedicated many years of her life working at St. Mark’s, and later enjoyed a fulfilling career as a dental assistant for Dr. Patrick Burgess, DDS.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold D. Graves; mother, Lora G. Graves; beloved husband, Francis O. Lovell, Jr.; sister, Jennie Bowling; brother-in-law, Ernest R. Bowling; and sister-in-law, Jerry Holden.
Judy is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Handley (Alan), Lynne Schron, Jennie Lovell, and Susanne Silver; her sister Dr. Lora Graves (Bryan), along with her grandchildren: Erin Handley Truckenmiller (Jerry), Ryan Schron (Carolina), Carley Schron, Ethan Silver, and Dillon Silver. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Etsan Truckenmiller and Luka Schron, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A service to honor the life of Judith G. Lovell will be held at 1pm on May 2, 2026, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, Charleston, with Reverend Janet Harman officiating. Burial will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Family and friends may visit from 12pm to 1pm on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, Charleston.
