Gloria J. Boxely-Brown
Gloria Jean Boxley-Brown, 75, of Charleston, WV passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026 surrounded by her loving family “Forever in Our Hearts”.
She was born on July 2, 1950 in Charleston and spent her career as a teacher’s aide fulfilling her passion for working and caring for children. She was known above all for her loving smile, unconditional love, kind gentle spirit, her cowboy tv shows, her “bling” pant suits, love of music, and her writings as a poet/songstress.
She is survived by her daughters, Annesheia (Andre), and Daton; sons, Stephen, Myone (Latasha), and Reyeal, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, James (Johnna), Paul (Priscilla), and Shirley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Timothy Brown; her brother, Robert Boxley; and her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday April 28, 2026 at Snodgrass Funeral Home at 12noon for service, and a public viewing at 11am.
