Eric Wayne Mallory
Eric Wayne Mallory, 68, of St. Albans, West Virginia, passed away on June 30, 2026. Born on July 9, 1957, he was born and raised in Spring Hill and graduated from South Charleston High School.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Eric retired from Kanawha County Schools after a long career, and fought cancer with remarkable strength for 17 years. As Scripture says, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7)—words that captured his courage to the very end. A true jack of all trades and a gifted handyman, Eric could turn his hand to almost any job. He was a perfectionist in everything he did, always taking his work to the next level and building things to last. Whatever the task, he gave it his all—and he was always ready to do anything for anyone, dedicating his life to serving others.
Eric had a deep love of camping and travel. He enjoyed exploring Amish country and journeyed all around the United States, always eager for the next adventure and the open road. In his free time, he also enjoyed woodworking, collecting, and a good Reese’s.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Mallory; his sister, Roberta Murphy (David); his brother, Craig Mallory (Maureen); and his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family who loved him dearly.
Eric is now at peace, in a place where “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain” (Revelation 21:4). He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A service to Honor the Life of Eric will be held at 11:00am, Monday, July 6, 2026 at Snodgrass Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Decker officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 am till service time. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans, WV.
