Wanda Settle passed away on June 22, 2026 after enduring a long illness.

Wanda was born on 1/31/1932 in Charleston to Theodore and Geraldine Bishop.  She lived a life marked with kindness, strength, compassion and unwavering devotion to her family.

As a mother, she was a source of love, wisdom and encouragement.  Her caring heart, gentle spirit and selfless nature touched the lives of everyone that knew her.  She found joy in spending time with her family, celebrating life’s milestones and creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack of 49 years, her daughter Pam, her mother Geraldine, her sister Sarah, her brother Jink and her beloved dog Muffie.   She is survived by her daughter, Jackie (Dee); granddaughters, Angie (Freddie), Lindsay and Tabitha; grandsons, Travis (Jax) and Jason (Jessica); 8 great granddaughters, 5 great grandsons, 1 gg-granddaughter and 2 gg-grandsons; her brother Jack and several nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who offered support, prayers and kindness during this difficult time as well as Hospice of Cincinnati for the compassionate care they provided.

A graveside service will be held on June 30, 2026 at noon in Sunset Memorial Park mausoleum, 4301 MacCorkle Avenue SW, South Charleston, WV  25309.

Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in those memories she leaves behind and the love she shared so freely.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
