Edith Epperly Kirk, 81, of Hurricane WV, passed away at home surrounded by loved ones on June 6, 2026 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her son James David (JD) Perry, husband, Leon Kirk, her father, Cary Epperly and her mother Mamie Ballengee Epperly and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Vickie Perry of Cross Lanes and son Timothy Perry (Annie) of Texas.  She is also survived by her sisters Carrie Jo Thompson and Margaret Adkins of Hinton WV, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Edith was a dedicated mom who loved her children with all her soul. She continuously widened her family circle to include the friends of her children and others that she loved and treated all of them like her own family. She was blessed with a servant heart and always sought ways to support those who just needed an extra hand, especially our Veterans. Edith was a retired Engineer Clerk from Verizon with over 40 years of service.
Please join us for a funeral service on Friday, June 12, 2026, 11:00am at Snodgrass Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will following in Sunset Memorial Park.
