Mark Edward Anderson of Charleston died after a courageous battle with cancer on January 10, 2019. Born March 20, 1959 in Weirton to Charlie and Susan Anderson; Mark was the second born of five children. He was a 1977 graduate of Charleston High School.
Wanda June Miller, 89, of South Charleston passed away peacefully Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House while surrounded by her family.
Wanda was born January 5, 1930, in Charleston. She met and married her husband, Richard “Dick” Miller, at age 16 on July 27, 1946. They had been married 65 years when he passed away on April 22, 2012. Together they raised two fine sons, Richard “Junior” and John Miller. They have five granddaughters, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Helen Ruth Bailey Wyatt died January 1, 2019. Her husband of sixty-five years, William Ervin Wyatt, predeceased her in 2004.
Born August 10, 1922, in Clarksburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clive Vernon Bailey and Mildred Bonita Beatty Bailey. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Catherine June Bailey Simms and Carol Jo Bailey McMillian, and sister-in-law, Kathryn Adams Bailey.
Woodrow W. “Woody” Ball, Jr., age 77, of Poca, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday December 29, 2018 at Thomas Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Ft. Knox, KY, son of the late Woodrow W. Ball, Sr. and Eileen Mayo Berry Ball. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Scott Earl Ball; sister, Susan Eileen and her husband, Curtis Smith; two grandchildren Charlie and Jennifer Arthur.
Ray Messinger, 85, went to his eternal home on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Ray was one of nine children born to George and Rosa Messinger in Branchland, WV.

Sallie Jordan Robinson Simmons, 99, born in New Orleans on October 18, 1919, died on December 26, 2018, in Charleston, West Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas Chesney Robinson and Sallie Jordan Buchanan, and siblings Thomas Chesney Robinson, Jr., James Alexander Robinson, Mary Julitta Robinson Conoley and and Willard Gordon Robinson.
John Edward Stickling, age 86, of Kanawha City, passed away peacefully at Sweetbriar Assisted Living on Monday December 24, 2018.
John was born in Peoria, IL. He joined the Navy at age 17 which sparked his love of travel and adventure. He earned an electrical engineering degree from the University of Illinois in 1960.
Lloyd D. Francisco, Jr. , 89, of Dunbar, went to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, Thursday December 20, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston, WV.
Lloyd is now reunited with his beloved wife Rosa of 62 years. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War where he met his wife.
Claude Warren Payne, 96, of Saint Albans, West Virginia was reunited in Heaven with the love of his life, Patricia Anne Payne, early on Christmas Eve of 2018.
A native of Rainelle, WV, he loved music, the outdoors, and, most of all, his family. Claude married his high school sweetheart Patricia Hager in 1942.
