David Lee Brown, Sr. 83 of South Charleston passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.
David was a 1952 graduate of South Charleston High School and received a degree in pharmacy from the University of Cincinnati.  He was a retired pharmacist from Krogers.

Christopher Comstock Ferguson

Christopher Comstock Ferguson passed away in a car accident on November 11, 2018 at the age of 29. Chris is survived by his mother Tracy Sprouse Ferguson, his father Mark Allen Ferguson, his siblings Jamie, Sarah and Mary, his grandmothers June Sprouse and Sandra Ferguson, and his nephews Ethan Ferguson and Christopher Kelleher.

Mary Dandy

On November 8, 2018, Mary Dandy, loving wife and mother of three, grandmother of six, and great grandmother of twelve, passed away from cancer at the age of 94 in Charleston, WV.  Mary was born on April 14, 1924 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada, one of twelve children, to the late Charles and Sharifi “Shirley” Gader.

Eugene E. Bays

Eugene E. Bays, 83, of South Charleston, passed away on November 12, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West, surrounded by family.
Born December 4, 1934, in Charleston, WV, to the late Rufus and Ollie Mae Bays.  He was a Korean era veteran serving in the United States Navy.

Arthur Edward Henry

Arthur Edward Henry, 74, of South Charleston, passed away on November 9, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House. Art was a member of Judson Baptist Church. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a former employee of Hansford Senior Center driving the van. He enjoyed playing Santa Clause at the St. Albans festival of lights from 2000-2007.

Robert Lee Watson

Robert Lee Watson, 82, of South Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018.

Robert, affectionately known as “RL”, was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School and Marshall University.  He also served proudly as a Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve.  Robert spent the majority of his career as owner of RL Watson Co. specialty contractor, and with Smith Floor Covering in Charleston.

Mary Lee Conley

Mary Lee Conley, 90, of South Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, November, 6, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

Mary was born August 18, 1928 in Sod, WV.  She lovingly raised her children before starting a career in retail, working for Village Wardrobe, Haddad’s, and Stone and Thomas Department Store.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of St. Albans where she was also a member of the choir.

Bertie Lou Ferrell Garcia

Bertie Lou Ferrell Garcia, age 81, of Charleston, passed away on Thursday November 1, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
 She was born on April 13, 1937 in Matewan, WV.  She was a 1954 graduate of Magnolia High School in Matewan.  She later earned her BA in Social work from WV State College.  Bertie worked as a counselor for Job Corps at the Charleston center and at the Geary Center in San Marcos, TX.  She loved to cook and entertain friends. 

Helen Louise Berry Davis

Helen Louise Berry Davis, 85, of South Charleston, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.
She was a 1951 graduate of Ripley High School. She graduated in 1955 from Glenville State College and later earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science from WV College of Graduate Studies.
