LeRoy Mitchell Rashid, 86, passed away at his home in Charleston the evening of January 16, 2018.

Lee was born in Detroit in 1932 and his family moved to West Virginia when he was five.  He attended Archmere Academy Preparatory School in Claymont, Delaware, and graduated from Montgomery High School in 1950.

Judith Michele Bonenberger

Judith Michele Bonenberger, 63, of South Charleston, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Hubbard Hospice House West surrounded by her family and friends.
She was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and graduated from Slippery Rock University. She worked for CAMC and owned and operated her own daycare.

Robert “Bob” Oliver Walker

Robert (Bob) Oliver Walker of South Charleston passed away on January 10, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born on May 25, 1938 in Charleston, WV. He was a graduate of Charleston High School in 1956 where he was All-State in Football and went on to play for 3 years at Indiana University.

Kale Keoki Robinson passed away Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the age of 36 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington, WV. He was born August 14, 1981 in Jackson, Mississippi to Lisa Robinson Collier and Charles Dixon.

Mary Ann Watson, 88, of South Charleston, passed away on Thursday, January 4, 2018.

She was born on September 18, 1929 in South Charleston to the late Albert Ray and Mary Hudnall Giles. She was also preceded the death by her husband of 68 years, Clyde M. Watson.

Greg Robert Lord

Greg Robert Lord, 65, of Charleston, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 after a courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.

He was born on January 21, 1952, in Hartford, CT, to George and Marian Lord and was raised in Louisville, KY.

John Robert Harris

John Robert Harris, of Morehead City, North Carolina, formerly of Cross Lanes, West Virginia died at age 76 at home following a short illness on December 29, 2017. He was the son of Virginia Pauline Jobes Harris and Francis Church Harris of Pennsboro, WV, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Beth Ness; his mother-in-law, Mildred Agnes Dent; his brother-in-law, Tony Dent and his sister-in-law, Sue Dent.

William “Pete” Thaw

William P. Thaw, a member and former President of the Kanawha County Board of Education since 1998 passed away with his wife, Patricia B. Thaw at his side, a few minutes before midnight on December 28, 2017.

He was born on January 5, 1931, in Akron, Ohio where his father Robert F. Thaw, an eye surgeon, and his mother Jeanette Rea Thawresided. Both of his parents predeceased him as did his only brother, Robert Harper Thaw, who died in 1981.

Mary Ann Gargarella

Mary Ann Gargarella, 102 of St. Albans, WV, passed away on December 27, 2017 at Sweet Blessings Care Home.

Mary was born on September 10, 1915 in Kingmont, WV to the late Mary Grace and Domenick Teti. She was an active faithful member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Fairmont where she sang in the Funeral Choir and participated in Catholic Daughters.

Jennalee Page “Jenny” Wilson, 67, of South Charleston, died at home on December 22, 2017 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jenny was born on August 3, 1950 in Williamstown to Lynn Page and Dorothy (Maidens) Page Varner.
