James “Butch” Clyde Sharps, 71, of Scott Depot, WV was received by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the early morning hours on March 25, 2026.

 Butch is survived by his wife, Lisa of 44 years; daughter, Gabrielle Harper (Derrick); son, Caleb Sharps (Megan); grandchildren, Benjamin and Micah and Joah and Riley; sisters, Susie Aldridge and Brenda Burns; brother, Eddie Homan.

 He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna May Homan; grandmother, Minnie Rice; grandfather, Arch Rice; sister, Marsha Boggs.

 Butch devoted his life to prayer and put his hope and faith in Christ. He loved his family and made life adventurous for his kids and grandkids.

 A celebration of his life and home-going will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at New Beginnings Church, 352 MacCorkle Ave., SW, St. Albans, WV 25177.

 Arrangements are in care of Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston.
