Jackie M. Shank, 86, of Winfield, formally of Eleanor WV, passed away June 10, 2026 at his home.

Jackie was born August 2, 1939 to the late Charles Edward Shank and Beulah Shank (Adamson). Jackie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was Military Veteran, Retired large equipment operator at Hobet Coal Mine of Boone County.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, woodwork, wood carving, and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Deloris Bailey Shank, sisters Helen Fox of Eleanor WV, Beulah “Bootie” Parsons of Midway WV and brother Charles Shank of St. Albans WV.

Jackie is survived by his son Michael L. Shank (Lora) of Scott Depot, WV and Grandson Taylor Shank (Cassandra) of Winfield WV, Granddaughter Kaleigh Shank of Scott Depot WV, Great Granddaughters Eden Garcelon and Hayden Shank.

A Graveside Service to Honor the Life of Jackie will be held at 2:00 pm Monday June 15th at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar WV.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude or Shriners Children.
