Christina Parsons
Christina Parsons, 65, of Sissonville passed peacefully on August 23, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Chris was proceeded in death by her parents, Rainelle and Glen Painter. Surviving her memory is her husband, John Parsons, brother, Larry (Monica) Painter of Sevierville, TN, her only daughter, Branigan McCormick and son in law, Bobbie, Granddaughter Lakyn McCormick and grandsons Easton & Joey McCormick who were her pride & joy; along with her brothers in law, & a host of family & friends.
Chris was a beautician in Sissonville for many years and her co-workers, Susan, Robin, Peggy & Shelly will always hold a special place in her heart.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a graveside service will be held at the Parsons’ Family Cemetery at a later date.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Chris for many years. Chris was one year ahead of me in high school. Our daughters started their education journey at Mrs. Allman’s preschool. They graduated high school the same year. Chris was our hair stylist for many years. She cut my mom’s, my daughter’s and my hair. Chris made sure my mom’s hair was taken care of when she became bedfast. My mom fondly referred to Chris as “her Chris”. Mom thought she was doing my daughter and me a favor by sharing Chris with us. When Chris decided to retire as a hair stylist, it was difficult to hear. She served her clientele well. She deserved the break. She took excellent care of her parents in their time of need. Although Chris was small in size, she was bigger than life – funny, compassionate, passionate, devoted to her family, friends and clientele, adventurous, etc. She loved her family and dear friends beyond measure. I am glad that Chris’ earthly suffering is over, but her passing weighs heavily on many.
I hold the hope that the love of dear family and friends, fond memories, and faith provide those who loved Chris so dearly much comfort now and in the days ahead.
