Joe was raised in Nitro WV and graduated from Nitro High School. Living now in St. Albans, he is also an alumnus of Liberty University and Tulane University. In 1977, Joe started working at the Institute plant at Union Carbide until 2008. After taking early retirement, he started working at Snodgrass Funeral Home and teaching at BridgeValley Community & Technical College. Joe loves working at Snodgrass because of the dedication to the people we serve by all members of the staff beginning with the owner. Joe feels that working with the staff at Snodgrass is a once in a lifetime opportunity. He also enjoys working at BVCTC because he feels privileged to help educate students and hopefully open their minds to lifelong learning. Of course, obtaining a better job is the main objective.
When not working, Joe loves to spend time with his wife of forty years and they love spending time with the rest of their family, as well as their church family at Bible Center. Learning is one of his favorite things. He also enjoys going to the gym, air shows, car shows, and kayaking.
