Catherine Eileen Ziders Hardway, 79, of South Charleston passed away on August 5, 2026 at home.

Catherine was born June 17, 1947 to the late Elmer Graham and Catherine Sullivan Ziders in New York. Her dad was an engineer working on the highway system and so they lived a variety of areas including New York, Pennsylvania and Indiana.

She worked several jobs and retired from United Bank as a Teller Supervisor.  She was a very artistic person and enjoyed knitting, painting and pottery.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Elma Reed

Catherine is survived by her husband, Lamber Earl Hardway; son, Elmer Graham Hardway and his spouse Sara; daughters, Veronica and Mary Beth; grandchildren, Nicolai and Lillith, Scott, Josh and Catherine; sister, Joyce Small.

The family will hold a memorial service to Honor the Life of Catherine at a later date.
