It is with a heavy heart that we mark the passing of Mrs. Claudia (Cookie) Ryan who left us on August 3rd to be with her beloved husband Ronnie.

For those who knew her, she was quite a character. Her calling (which she missed unfortunately for the world), should have been a stand-up comedian.

She loved to talk on the phone (literally for hours if you let her), go shopping (Wal-mart was her go-to), and go for drives.She was kind hearted, and gave love freely to those she cared about.

Cookie was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie, her parents, and three siblings.

She is survived by members of the Carte, McKemy, and Slaughter families, and her friends and neighbors in the Circle.

The world will be a quieter place in the wake of her passing, as she was such a presence in so many lives.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Thursday, August 6, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston with a committal service immediately to follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
