Aleatha Constance Jarvis (Connie), age 88, of Shrewsbury, WV, passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House on December 5, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her father, Layton Leach; her mother, Katie (Foster); husband, Gilbert; and daughter, Retta Spelock.

Connie loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her great-great grandchildren. All the kids knew they could get away with murder and get snacks at Maw-Maw Connies.

She is survived by her son, Keith Jarvis; grandson, Eric V. Spelock; great-granddaughter, Haley Nicole Spelock (Cameron Reed); great-grandson, Logan Spelock; and great-great grandchildren; Wyatt, Izabelle and Watson Reed. Also, Connie is survived by living brothers, Ritchie (Wanda) & Jimmie Leach; sister, Annette Douglas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Service to Honor the Life of Connie will be held at 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Snodgrass Funeral Home, with Rev. Steve White officiating. Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. before the service. Interment will follow at Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
