Catherine Joanne Czeck, (Joanne), age 78, of Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully at Hubbard Hospice House on December 4, 2025.

Joanne was preceded in death by her father, Nelson Richardson; her mother, Mary Grace Richardson; daughter, Becky Czeck; and sister, Lynn Richardson Hartz.

Joanne was a proud 1965 graduate of Charleston High School and attended Marshall University. A hair stylist by profession, Joanne delighted in conversation with her clients, while creating stylish hair designs for her many grateful customers. She enjoyed reading and collecting trains.

She is survived by her son, Ric Czeck; daughter, Cathy Czeck (Terry Asbury), all of Charleston; granddaughter, Jessica Wolfal (Caleb), of Fort Knox, KY; grandson, Ricky Czeck (Teyiona McNeil), of Dunbar; sister, Jean Richardson of Bluefield; brothers, Ray Richardson of South Charleston and Andy Richardson of Charleston; and three great-granddaughters.

The family wishes to thank the City of Charleston EMTs, Charleston Area Medical Center, Hubbard Hospice House, and Snodgrass Funeral Home for their service during this difficult time.

The family will receive visitors and offer a brief memorial service in the chapel of Christ Church United Methodist on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:30pm, with the memorial service beginning at 1:30pm.
