Kimberly Lynn Taylor-Mills passed away suddenly on November 21, 2025, while bravely battling to overcome a massive stroke. She was born on July 18, 1963, in Charleston, WV, to her parents, Wanda L. Gill and the late William F. Taylor Sr. Kim was the devoted Mother of Leslie A. Steele and Michelle L. Garcia; a caring and compassionate mother-in-law to Leslie’s husband, Steven Steele, and Michelle’s husband, Luis A. Garcia; and a beloved grandmother to her 7 grandchildren: Emma K. Upton, Steven L. Shearin, Luis A. Garcia, Cruz A. Garcia, Tino A. Garcia, Isabel A. Garcia, and Daniel A. Garcia; and a loving sister to her brothers, William Taylor Jr. and Chester Taylor.

Kim was a big personality in a small package. She had an impact on each person she interacted with. She was courageous, inspirational, kind, loving, funny, a ball of fire that never gave up, and fought till the end. She lived her life full of spunk and spark. Despite her many illnesses and challenges, she taught us what it means to be a fighter.

Kim considered her greatest joys and accomplishments in life to be the gifts of being a devoted mother to her two daughters and a loving and caring grandmother to her seven grandchildren.

Kim is preceded in death by her father, William Taylor Sr; grandmothers, Mary Ellen Mollet and Geraldine Taylor; and grandfather, Frank Mollet. She is survived by her mother, Wanda L. Gill; daughters: Leslie A. Steele, her husband Steven Steele, and their children Emma Upton and Steven Shearin, and daughter, Michelle L. Garcia, her husband Luis Garcia, and their children, Luis A. Garcia, Cruz Garcia, Tino Garcia, Isabel Garcia, and Daniel Garcia; as well as her brothers, William Taylor Jr and Chester Taylor; and Ex Husband David L. Mills.

Kim will be desperately missed by all those that she left behind. Our hearts are so broken by this unexpected loss. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was truly a blessing.

A gathering to Honor the Life of Kim will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Snodgrass Funeral Home.
