Barry was my secretary at Columbia Gas Transmission for several years. He was a lovely soul and excellent typist! He was so kind when I married and when we had our son. I was happy to catch up with him in the last couple of years outside of Taylor Books.
Barry was such a great friend with mom, Jean Schumacher. Such a kind person, Mom loved him. They became friend’s at Columbia Gas.
Barry was a kind person and always respectful. He was my friend. I will miss him.
I’m so sorry to hear of Barry’s passing. I worked with him at Columbia Gas, and would see him outside Taylor Books frequently. Barry would occasionally walk to the Amtrak Station and watch people coming and going. He was a very nice guy. Fly high, my friend, fly high.
I worked with Barry at BRFSS and would frequently talk with him at Taylor Books as we both enjoyed stopping off before work or on our work breaks. He grew on me because of how funny he was and how engaged he was with everyone. His big Europe trip plan last year he spoke about around the time I left WV was inspiring, and it makes me happy to think about all of the adventures and joy he had abroad before his passing.
