Jannie’s biggest joy in life was her three grandsons, who she loved dearly. She also enjoyed reading, music, baking, gardening, and traveling. She spent a lot of time helping her husband in their rental property venture; interior painting was her specialty.
Jannie was the silent heart and soul of her family, a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother offering endless support, wisdom, and kindness. Countless memories were created with those she held dearly.
As a teacher, Jannie’s passion for education inspired generations of students. They loved her animated voices she used in reading books to them. She believed in the power of education to shape lives.

Janice was a beautiful person and truly loved by the staff and students at Nitro Elementary where she subbed as a teacher after she retired.
Jani was a lovely neighbor to my parents family for over 3 decades. She had such a soft and kind demeanor always. I am blessed to have grown up across the street from her. I was able to observe what a strong and resilient woman she was, she was able to set this example for me in her quiet day to day comings and goings. I will always have a place in my heart for fond memories of growing up on the hill across the street from her. I am praying for Gods comfort on your entire family. – Ginger

To the Eplin family. We lost a beautiful lady. She taught my daughter in third grade. She helped raise me as a parent. She was a wonderful teacher and a better human being. She loved her students and did everything to assist them in understanding.. May she rest in peace and God may bless the family. It was an honor to have known her.
Oh no, I just found out a few minutes ago. Jannie was a sweetheart from the word go.
