Such a wonderful man. He and Day were such a joy. Prayers for Day and the entire family. God bless you and be with you.
We love you Poppaw, and will miss you more than words can describe! You were the best Poppaw in the world!! Thank you for all that you did for our family! We have so many memories and they will help in your legacy living on for many generations to come! We are sending many thoughts and prayers from Germany! We love you!
Great Uncle Jink will be missed. The times Nana (sister Wanda) would bring me to WV to see the family have stayed with me all these years.
Uncle Jink and Aunt Day were always laughing it up at Mamaw Bish’s house where I would visit.
Our thoughts are with the rest of the family.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Bishop’s death. I was a friend of his son’s for many years. Mr B always made me feel welcome in their home. He was quick with a joke or funny comment and I always appreciated them. He always encouraged our interest in music. Rest in peace Mr B.
I am saddened by the loss of Gene. He was a wonderful man. It was a joy of my life to have worked with him. I worked with Gene at Union Carbide in the ’91-’95 timeframe. He was a master lab technician and was instrumental in showing a then, “snot-nosed PhD” the ropes. The excellent, practical knowledge he passed on to me has been instrumental in my success as a research scientist in industry. He was a treasure trove of knowledge. I marveled how he could recall stuff that he worked on 30 years prior and lay out all of the details. I’ve tried to emulate him that way. I owe Gene a huge debt for that. I know he is missed. All of my thoughts and prayers go out to Gene’s family.
