Big Bill Peters The Great!!! What a friend a person to enjoy. We drag raced our 55(mine)56(his) Chevys over the Nitro Interstate bridge be fore the rest of the road was opened. Mrs. Conley came into start our class and Bill was set at his desk but on the floor with his head resting on the desktop. She walked over told him..”Get up in your seat or I’ll pick you up and throw you out that classroom window.” He meekly got up. We had a ball after class teasing some one his size afraid of a little 5 foot tall woman.
His reply was…”….you guys I was afraid she was going to try and lift me and it would break her back.”
God rest your Soul, Bill, I enjoyed our times together.
Big Bill was a wonderful person & many memories go back to playing baseball against his team. May you find peace my friend.
Wanted to send our condolences in the loss of Bill. He worked with my husband Randy Stanley at tax department for several years. He was a good guy. Pray God helps you through this sad time.
