General Services and Pricing

The fee for our Basic Services and Overhead will be added to the total itemized cost of the arrangements you select. It is already calculated into the “Arrangement Package”.

Basic Services of Funeral Director & Staff and Overhead→ $2,495.00
Our signature full services include: consulting with family; may include the following: planning services; preparing obituary notices; local phone calls & faxes; securing and recording vital statistics; filing notices with Social Security and VA; assisting with insurance forms; coordinating with Clergy, cemetery, crematory, &/or other third parties; assisting with basic probate information; and a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs.

Basic Services of Funeral Home & Staff (no other basic services provided) → $1,895.00
For use of the funeral home and staff for services in which we have not provided the cremation and or burial services. These services may include all or part of and are not limited to all the services we provide in our Basic Service of Funeral Director and Staff.

Funeral / Memorial Honoring Life Services → $675.00
At our facility, a church, or other local venue up to 1 hour.

Same Day Funeral / Memorial Service → $1,200.00
A Visitation /Gathering and Funeral / Memorial Service the same day. At our facility, a church or local venue up to 3 hours total.

Committal Service → $675.00
Committal service may be direct with only staff present, private family or public, held at the cemetery where the interment takes place up to 30 minutes. Committal Service and Hearse only (Transportation to Cemetery) within 25 miles; additional vehicle charges or other cemetery charges may apply. This does not include Tent and Chair Services, Open and Close Charges or Other Cemetery Related Charges.

Public Viewing, Visitation, Gathering → $675.00
At our facility, local church, or other local venue up to 2 hours.

Private Clinical Setting Viewing → $500.00
Immediate family up to 10 people up to 1 hour (un-embalmed body).

Transfer & Care of Remains to Snodgrass Funeral Home → $450.00
Within 25 miles ($4.00 each additional loaded mile)

Embalming → $925.00
Embalming is required for public viewing and may also be required in other circumstances.

Other Preparation of Remains → $400.00
Includes, bathing and sanitation; cosmetic care, dressing & casketing; and any other basic preparation deemed necessary. It does not include charges for restoration or fees for hair dresser/stylist.

Minimal Other Preparation of Remains → $300.00
Minimal preparation for clinical private viewing

Restoration / Autopsy Surcharge → $200.00 – $600.00
Charged on an “as needed” basis. Service package not included.

All burial services offered include charges for: Transfer of remains to Snodgrass Funeral Home (within 25 miles); basic services of funeral director & staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; basic and / or minimal and / or other preparations; may include embalming based on service selected; transportation to cemetery within 25 miles; any additional charges associated with the type of service selected.

*Basic Stationery selection; upgrades available upon request for additional fees.

Direct Burial → $4,020.00 plus the cost of casket chosen

Our charges for an immediate burial (does not include embalming, ceremony or viewing) includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; local removal of remains within 25 miles; and local transportation to cemetery within 25 miles; filing death certificate, social security forms, VA services, obituary writing and placement, insurance assistance, probate assistance, memorial package preparations, flower ordering, memorial tribute videos to name a few of the services we provide and assist with.

Viewing (One Day) and Funeral Service and Committal Service (Next Day) – $6,445.00 *

Viewing and Funeral Service and Committal Service (ALL Same Day) – $6,295.00 *

Viewing OR Funeral Service and Committal Service (ALL Same Day) – $5,770.00 *

Total viewing / service time up to 3 hours is the family’s choice between Private and/or Public Viewings and Services. These services may be held at the funeral home, a church, the cemetery where the interment will be or other approved venue. Any additional fees from those other venues will need to be paid directly to the venue by the family. Additional time is $200.00 per hour. Please note that service prices only include a Hearse / Funeral Coach, additional charges for additional vehicles may apply and excess mileage may apply for all vehicles used.

OUTER BURIAL CONTAINERS (Often referred to as Burial Vaults)

In most areas of the country, state or local law does not require that you buy a container to surround the casket or urn in the grave.  However, many cemeteries require that you have such a container so that the grave will not sink in.  Either a grave liner or a burial vault will satisfy these requirements.

Normal Credit Policy Applies to all except “Simple / Direct Cremation.

**Simple/Direct Cremation (CASH ONLY- due in full at time of arrangements) → $2,250.00 (plus tax) **(minimal administrative services) When the families we serve have need for a simple / direct cremation. This service is very limited and cannot be altered. This includes a  brief consultation to obtain the necessary information and forms to complete the cremation, file the death certificate and social security form; includes local removal of remains and transportation to the funeral home (within 25 miles) and to the crematory; cremation permits; minimum alternative container; crematorium charges. A clear path to a legal signed authorization and certified death certificate by the doctor must apply. Cremation must be able to be completed within 2 days of death or our procession of deceased. Cremains will be returned in a black plastic box and must be picked up within 2 days of completion. If any additional services are required  or requested the cremation service charges will apply. NOTE: Weights Over 300 lbs. Additional $200.00 for ALL Cremations.

DISINTERMENT – REINTERMENT SERVICES

Paperwork / Supervision of disinterment or reinterment services – $400.00 for the first hour and $300.00 each additional hour will be charged for these services.

 

SERVICING GRAVES AT FAMILY / PRIVATE CEMETERIES

These charges are for when we are asked to contract services in a local cemetery which is NOT perpetual care and is within 25 miles. Beyond 25 miles additional charges may apply

Opening / Closing of grave (Monday – Saturday) – $945.00

Opening / Closing of grave (Sunday) – $1,175.00

HOLIDAY Additional Charge for Opening / Closing of Grave (excluding Christmas and Thanksgiving no services are available) – $1,825.00

Jackhammer Rental Fees – $250.00

Additional mileage for any services provided outside of 25 miles is subject to a charge of $4.00 per “loaded” or “one way” mile for each vehicle used for services.* (Note: Any transport services are charged full mileage one way.)

Limousine (up to 7 passengers) – $350.00

Forwarding Remains to Another Funeral Home → $4,270.00
Our charge for forwarding remains to another funeral home includes: basic services of funeral director and staff; a proportionate share of overhead costs; local removal of remains within 25 miles; embalming and other basic preparation, if relevant; and local transportation within 25 miles. It does not include charges for casket or shipping container, or excess mileage to point of contact for air, rail, or land transportation or any other services, merchandise or products. Professional Courtesy Charges Available To Requesting Funeral Home With Payment At Time of Service.

Receiving of Remains from Another Funeral Home → $2,895.00
Our charge for receiving remains from another funeral home includes: basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead cost; care and arrangements for final disposition; minimal administrative fees.  It does not include any air, rail, or land transportation, transportation to the cemetery or crematory or other services, products or merchandise.
