Rebecca Walker
Rebecca Walker, 61, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2025, surrounded by love.
Born on November 23, 1963, in Charleston, Rebecca was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the beloved mother of Katie (Justin) Ullum and Bryan Walker (Erica Szasz), and cherished her grandchildren: Brynlee and Maverick Ullum, Braycen and Adalyn Walker, and Keara Casdorph.
Rebecca’s love extended far beyond her immediate family. She was a second grandmother known as “Keke” to her great nieces and nephews. She was a second mother to her nieces, playing a deeply important role in their lives, and her nurturing spirit touched everyone around her. Her presence was warm, her heart was generous, and her laughter could fill a room.
She is survived by her loving siblings: brothers, Kevin (Babette) Fisher and Larry (Billie Carol) Sigmon, and her sister, Rose (Sigmon) Redmon. The family would like to offer special thanks to her dear friend, Trina Burdette, for the compassionate care and companionship she provided to Rebecca in her final weeks.
Rebecca’s life was a testament to the power of unconditional love and unwavering support. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and deep family bonds that will live on in the many lives she touched.
A celebration of Rebecca’s life will be held at the Union Valley Tabernacle Church in Sissonville on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 3:30 pm. Friends and family will gather from 2pm-3:30 pm.
