Leora Marlene McCoy, 61, of St. Albans, WV, passed away on November 15, 2025, peacefully at her home.

Leora was born in Bellingham, Washington, on August 10, 1964, and after moving to West Virginia, graduated from Gauley Bridge High School, Class of 1982. Even before graduation, Leora started working at her local Kroger grocery store, in 1982, and then enjoyed a long career with the Kroger Corporation, becoming a store manager before retiring in 2014. Leora loved spending time with her grandkids, being active in her church, St. Andrew United Methodist Church, baking, and cheering on her beloved WVU Mountaineers.

Leora was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Evans, her mother, Shirley Kincaid; father, Charles Tawes; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Franklin and Ellen McCoy; and sister-in-law, Carol Sue Devitt.

Leora is survived by her loving husband, Charles McCoy; children: Mark (Ashley) Pritt, Alexandra (Alan) Martin, Chaz (Meen) McCoy, Ella McCoy, and Garrett Moore; father, William (Betty) Kincaid; siblings, Kenneth (Tonia) Tawes, Johnnie Kincaid, Penny Broulliard, and Shayne Diaz;  brother-in-law, Wayne (Carla) McCoy; grandchildren: Jordy Evans, Avery, Addison, and Annie Pritt, Aiden and Audrey Martin, Kylee and Kinslee Wood, Willow and Elias Moore, and Arie McCoy.

A memorial service to Honor the Life of Leora will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the St. Andrew United Methodist Church in St. Albans, WV, with the Rev. Darick Biondi officiating. Family and friends may visit 1 hour prior to the service.
