Juanita Mallory

Juanita Louise Mallory, age 85, of South Charleston, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2025.

Born on March 3, 1940 in West Hamlin, Louise was the daughter of the late OJay and Margaret McMillian. She graduated from South Charleston High School before embarking on a life marked by service, faith, and love for her family and community.

Louise’s career was distinguished by her work in the legal field. She served as a legal assistant/paralegal with several respected practices, including Hark & Hark, Kay, Casto & Chaney, and Robert Mohler Law. Her sharp intellect and attentive care also led her to roles with the Communications Workers of America and the West Virginia State Senate, where she contributed with commitment and integrity.

A devoted Christian, Louise loved the Lord and humbly lived out her faith. She was a member of SC 1st Church of the Nazarene since 1975, where her kindness and encouragement touched many.

Louise’s legacy is carried forward by her husband, Dallas Mallory; her sons, Brian Mallory and Jeffrey Mallory; daughters-in-law, Dr. Mary Nan Mallory and Kristen Musich; and her five granddaughters, Lindsey Friday (Matthew), Emily Dillard (Logan), Lexi Mallory, Sydney Mallory, and Macie Mallory. While Louise loved all of her family, she was most proud of her granddaughters!  Louise also adored her great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Friday, Jackson Friday, and Jacob Friday, whose laughter and visits brought her great joy. Louise is also survived by her brother, Harold McMillian (Betty).

Louise will be remembered for her loving heart, steadfast faith, persevering strength, and the ways she cared for others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

Funeral services will be held 4pm Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate a life well-lived and the sweet memory of a woman whose love will continue to inspire those who knew her.
