James M. Nice, 77, of Charleston, WV, passed away on October 25, 2025, at the Abbyshire Place Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bidwell, OH.

Jim was born in New Martinsville, WV, on November 16, 1947, to the late Ralph C. Nice and Monoka Ater Nice, at the old Wetzel County Hospital. Upon graduation, Jim honorably served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War, being awarded the Purple Heart, among many other medals.

Jim is survived by his son, Matthew Nice (Dawn Marie); grandson, Damien Nice; brother, Ralph Nice Jr. (Nikki) of Charleston, WV; and sister, Lou Ann Virden (Donnie) of New Martinsville, WV.

A private service with Military Honors will be held for Jim at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV.
