What a lovely lady. I have fond memories of Fern when she brought cold drinks out when we were mowing grass at the cemetery next door, and when stopping by to see Jimmy or Jill when we were teenagers and young adults. Thinking of you all.
Fern holds a special place in my heart. She was my Sunday school teacher and I went to church with her most of my youth and adult life…I loved to hear testimony…she was a dear and sweet lady..I have so many cherished memories
ACTS 24:15
“And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.”
I hope that this beautiful promise from God to resurrect right here on earth our loved ones who have been died fills your hearts with comfort and peace, soon we will hug them again.
To Fern’s Children: Just recently (in the last month or so) I sent Fern a couple of note cards and wondered why she hadn’t responded . I had no idea. I am so very sorry to learn of her passing. She and i exchanged Christmas cards every year but in February this year I realized I didn’t get a Christmas card this last Christmas so I finally sat down and sent the note cards. But I’m guessing she never received them. Her mother, Ava, was my Mom’s aunt. So I don’t know–maybe your Mom and I were second cousins???? If you ever find the cards I sent, I gave her my phone number. Suzy Samples Fleming. March 27, 2025.
