Daphne Joy Pritt Casey, 81, of St. Albans, WV, passed away on July 1, 2025, surrounded by loved ones after a long illness.

Daphne was born on July 17, 1943, to William and Edith Nelson Pritt, and spent her formative years growing up in the Kanawha Valley. She became a big Jimmy Buffet fan, loved the beach, and had become an avid bird watcher in her later years.

Daphne worked for many years as a vascular sonographer at Thomas Hospital, from where she retired in 2009. She also attended Unity of Kanawha Valley, where she volunteered in their ministries.

Daphne is survived by her son, Scott (Melissa) Casey of Mansura, LA; daughter, Kim Martin of Topeka, KS; grandchildren: Sean (Kristen) Casey, Matthew Casey, Loren Martin, & Devon Martin; and great-grandchildren: Emma, Nora, Cyrus, and Jack. She also is survived by a special cousin, Karen Bean, who helped Daphne often in her times of need, and a special friend, Sha Jones, who gave Daphne much comfort through the years.

A committal service to Honor the Life of Daphne will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, in the Mausoleum of Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, WV.
