Amber Bostic
Amber Marlene Bostic, 21, of Dunbar, West Virginia, entered paradise where she was reunited with all those she loved on April 4, 2026.
She was born on November 12, 2004 to Danielle June Cordle and Christopher Thomas Bostic, and she was their greatest gift. Amber graduated from Riverside High School and completed the Carpentry Program at Carver Career & Technical Education Center where she was eventually inducted into membership in the National Technical Honor Society. Four days before the car accident that would ultimately claim her life, Amber’s family had the honor of witnessing her pledge to join the United States Marine Corps during a military pledge ceremony at Carver, which was a reflection of her courage and strength.
Amber was known for her beautiful spirit, and the way she was unafraid to reveal what was in her heart. She was a talented artist, a gifted carpenter, a prevailer, and a believer. She understood that our lives are not meaningless, and whether it was through her strength or her light, she left an immeasurable impact on all those who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Amber is survived by her stepmother, Jessica Dotson Bostic; sisters, Olivia Wattie and Stevi Bostic; brothers, Donovin Cordle, Sean Taylor Bostic, Asher Bostic; maternal grandparents, Sherry Lawson and William Cordle, Sr.; paternal grandparents, Melissa Asbury and Thomas Bostic; step-grandmothers, Deborah Cordle and Jody Asbury; great grandmother, Evelyn Bostic; aunts, Nancy Lawson, Judy Cordle, Susan Empson, Terri Westfall, Kati (Larry) Cantrell, Stephanie (Todd) Cordle Frankel, Nicole (Ben) Cordle Barish, Jennifer Burrows, and Brooke Jones; uncles, Clifford (Ann) Bostic II, Darrell Cordle, Michael Atha, and Jacob (Kailey Brown) Burrows; cousins, Makaleigh Peyton, Kaylynn McClanahan, Dylan Meadows, Layla Meadows, Juliet Dillon, Sebastian Burrows, Ezekiel Burrows, Fletcher Burrows, Abrey Thomas, Cole Barish, Drazen Barish, Eli Frankel, and Asher Frankel. Amber also had a special teacher, Mr. Bradley, whose belief in her when she doubted herself as one of only two girls in his carpentry class helped form the young woman she would become, and who her family was so proud of. Amber was proceeded in death by her beloved uncle, William (“Willie”) Cordle II,; aunt, Kimberly Atha, and her step-grandfather, Thomas Ross.
The family wishes to express their gratitude to the countless friends, family members, and medical professionals who did everything they could for Amber. Your kindness and support means more than words could ever describe.
A graveside service to honor Amber’s life will be held at 4:00pm at New Antioch Cemetery in Red House on Friday, April 10, 2026.
For ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice and your joy no man taketh from you (John 16:22).
