Mr. Miller was a very tough teacher, but would help you if he saw you were giving your best effort. What a life. I saw him singing with his buddies years after I graduated, the Khordsmen. He remembered my siblings and me with lots of student stories about the terrors of Chemistry and Physics. Rest well Mr. Miller and know you had a lot of success with your ❤️🖤 students!
My name is Dan Burdette. Mr Miller was my Science teacher, of 1968. The story I’m about to tell you is some what funny. Mr Miller got into an argument with a student in Science class, so he decided to throw him out of class. The student got mad and turn his chair over as he was leaving. Mr Miller looked at me and said pick up that chair, well, I didn’t, so he kicked me out to. As time passed by, I became Mr Miller’s neighbor on Derricks Creek rd. We became very good friends. He, Mary and I sometimes would talk about the Lord. It was my pleasure to be his neighbor. He was a good man. He will be missed.❤️
He was the best Chemistry & Physics teacher ever (1971-1972.) He left such a wonderful impression that I later on completed my undergrad in Education, with specialty in Chemistry.
Mr Miller was always a kind, compassionate person; quiet and extremely knowledgeable.I can still see his smile.
He was born the exact year as my daddy. It’s something to see he lived a long fruitful life.
Prayers for the family as you celebrate his life!
