Wilma D. “Pat” Delaney, 92, of Jupiter, FL, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Trustbridge Hospice Jupiter Medical Center, Florida.
She was born in Mason County to the late Carl Stanley and Sarah Kathryn Williams Dabney on May 27, 1926. She was a graduate of Hannan High School, Upland, WV and graduated from McMillian Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse where she worked many years before working as an RN for Dr. Cook and then doing peer reviews for West Virginia Medical Institute: the Quality Improvement Organization for West Virginia until her retirement in 1989. She and her husband Richard moved to Jupiter Florida following her retirement. She enjoyed ceramics and needlepoint as well as reading.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Riley Delaney, Jr.; unborn son, Carl Alan Delaney; sister, Thelma Lou Dabney; brother, James Carl Dabney.
Wilma is survived by son, Stephen (Vickie) Delaney of Jupiter, FL; daughter, Deborah (Terry) Crawford of Greensburg, PA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service to Honor the Life of Wilma will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston with Pastor Dean Chambers officiating. Family and friends may visit two hours prior to the service at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to Trustbridge Hospice Foundation, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
