Whitney Autumn Richmond

Whitney Autumn Richmond, age 33, of Charleston, passed away at her residence on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Whitney was born on February 13, 1987 in Charleston.  She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth A. Richmond; grandmothers, Betty R. Richmond and Carolyn Dorcas; and aunt, Catherine Richmond Moore.

She graduated from Capital High School (2005) and WV Junior College.  She was employed by Go-Mart in North Charleston.

Whitney is survived by her daughter, Keniya Autumn Richmond; mother, Kelley Dorcas of Columbus, OH; sister, Gwendolyn Pulce; brother, Wesley Dorcas; and numerous other family members and many friends.

Whitney was a great person to be around, always making fun out of any situation. She loved to joke around and to put a smile on your face; she could lift your spirit no matter the circumstances. Whitney was always the life of the party.  She loved to listen to music and dance. She loved her daughter very much and she was loved by many. Her beautiful soul will truly be missed.

A private service to honor the life of Whitney will be held. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston.
