AnnaGae Rymer

AnnaGae Rymer, 83, of South Charleston, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 after a long illness at Eastbrook Nursing Home in Charleston. She was a lifelong member of Amy Baptist Church in Yawkey, WV.  She retired from Lincoln County Schools after many years of service as a Teacher Aid.

Faith “Chippi” Grindle Bailey

Faith “Chippi” Grindle Bailey, 76, of South Charleston, passed away on April 17, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Richmond, VA. Faith was born in Westernport, MD and attended Bruce High School. She later attended West Virginia Wesleyan College where she met the love of her life, Robert Lee “Beetle” Bailey.

Stephen Gaten

Stephen Gaten, 57, of Charleston, passed away on April 11, 2018, at his residence. He was born June 14, 1960, in Charleston, a son of the late William J. and Virginia A. “Hunter” Gaten. Stephen enjoyed doing anything outdoors, such as hunting, camping, and fishing.

David Clark Merrill

David Clark Merrill, 63, of South Charleston, passed away on April 13, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of South Charleston, born to the late Edward and Rose Merrill.  He was a US Army Veteran serving as an MP and stationed in Fort Bragg.

Hazel Marie Beckett Crowley

Hazel Marie Beckett Crowley, 80, of South Charleston, passed away on April 11, 2018 at her home.  Hazel lived life with gusto and loved to cook for anyone lucky enough to cross her path!  She will be missed but we know that heaven has gained an angle. Hazel was born on July 18, 1937 in West Hamlin West Virginia. Her parents, William Emmett and Iva Prichard Beckett, of Salt Rock, preceded her in death.

Susan Lee O’Connell

On Monday April 9th, after a gallant fight, Susan Lee O’Connell departed from this earth. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Brian ’Connell; daughter, Emily (Brett) Baker; sister, Merrily (Ed) Bailey; two grandchildren, Nathaniel and Cameron Baker; nieces, Taylor Bailey and Ashley (Tommy) Marion; and numerous other friends and family.

Patricia Ann Vickers, 57, of South Charleston, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was born on September 11, 1960 in Charleston, West Virginia. Patty loved her miniature dachshund  and owned several throughout the years, Jagger, Bianca, Cassie, Lexie and Ally.

Larry Kenton Snyder

Larry Kenton Snyder, 69, of Clendenin, passed away on April 9, 2018. He was born in Charleston, WV on April 26, 1948 to the late Carl D. and Grace J. Snyder.  He was most proud his family and his love for his wife, Charlotte grew with each of their 37 years together. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Beatrice Mae Sears

Beatrice Mae Sears, 93, of Spring Hill, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018. She retired from Haddad’s in Spring Hill after many years of service as a seamstress. She leaves behind four children; her daughter, Tanya J. Sears of Spring Hill, and three sons, Kim K. Sears of Alum Creek, Kent D. Sears of Manassas, VA, and Kerry W. Sears of Frostproof, FL.

John Henry Smith

John Henry Smith, 55, of Poca, West Virginia, passed away on April 5, 2018 at CAMC Memorial Hospital. John was born in 1963 to the late Harry “Tiny” and Betty Lou Smith.  He was a longtime employee of Better Foods, Inc.  John enjoyed cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his “OPGA” friends on the golf course as well as Friday Night card games.
