Margaret L. Davies, 97, of Cross Lanes, WV, passed away on October 3, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House West.
Margaret was born in Hurricane, WV on March 6, 1922 and graduated from Hurricane High School.  She went to work for Union Carbide as an office employee, where she met and married Bob Davies. 

Theresa Gail Schultz

Theresa Gail Schultz, 70, of South Charleston passed away at Hospice House West at Thomas Memorial Hospital on October 7, 2019.
Gail leaves behind her very best friend and partner, Ruby Ransom of 40 years. They resided in South Charleston.

Clarence Paul Chambers, 66, of Charleston, passed away on October 5, 2019, at Hubbard Hospice House.
Born in Madison, Paul graduated from Scott High School and was an Eagle Scout.

David Homer Houchins

David Homer Houchins, 79, of South Charleston, WV passed away on October 3, 2019 at Hubbard Hospice House, West.

David was born in Beckley, WV on January 16, 1940, grew up in Montgomery, WV and graduated from Don Bosco Catholic School in Elkins, WV. He attended college at WV Tech and WV State University.

Paul E. Adkins, Jr.

Paul E. Adkins, Jr. age 74, of Clay, formerly of South Charleston, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at his residence.
He was born March 1, 1945 in Huntington, son of the late Paul E., Sr. and Georgia Mae Hunt Adkins. 

Glenn A. Carte, Sr.

Glenn A. Carte, Sr., age 84, of Charleston, WV passed away September 28th at home surrounded by family after a valiant battle with Leukemia.

Glenn graduated from West Virginia State College with degrees in chemistry and math.  He was a chemist at Union Carbide for seventeen years, after which he and his wife established Carte Realty Company, a multi-generational family business that continues through sons, Glenn Jr. and Allen, certified residential appraisers.

Nathan H. Sharp

Nathan Hugh Sharp, age 85, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away on September 24, 2019 at the home he built for his family 55 years ago.

Nathan was born July 23, 1934 in Brush Creek, West Virginia. A lifelong learner, Nathan developed his woodworking craftsmanship skills at Warren Wilson Vocational Junior College in North Carolina and received an education focused Bachelor’s Degree from Morris Harvey College, Charleston and Master’s Degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown.

Connie Atkins

Connie S. Alderman Atkins, 76, of Charleston, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2019 after a short illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronsford and Emma Dunlap; her husband Terry Atkins; her brothers, Major Dunlap and Ronnie Dunlap.

With his loved ones at his side, Paul Gardiner Manahan, 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, loved by all who knew him and adored by all who loved him.

Paul was born on August 18, 1954 to Patricia Cass and David Vincent Manahan.

Mary DeRoo

Mary Virginia Morgan De Roo, at the age of 88, made her swift journey to heaven on Thursday, September 12, 2019, after battling a lengthy, debilitating illness.  Mary Virginia was a loving, devoted, supportive wife and mother, a person of strong convictions and faith, a positive force in the lives of many.

She was a passionate advocate for women and women’s rights.  She was a warm and caring helping hand for those less fortunate, always putting others before herself.
