Jennalee Page “Jenny” Wilson
Jennalee Page “Jenny” Wilson, 67, of South Charleston, died at home on December 22, 2017 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jenny was born on August 3, 1950 in Williamstown to Lynn Page and Dorothy (Maidens) Page Varner. A graduate of Williamstown High School and Glenville State College, Jenny worked for over forty years as an elementary school teacher. Most of that time was spent at Chamberlain Elementary in Kanawha City. Jenny retired from Kanawha County Schools in 2015. She was a member of Genesis Fellowship in South Charleston.
Jenny was preceded in death by her husband – of what would have been 45 years – Robert “Bob” Wilson, of South Charleston, and by her brother, Steve Page, of Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.
Jenny is survived by her daughter, Joylynn Fix, and husband, Joshua Fix, of South Charleston, and by her mother, Dorothy Varner, of Williamstown. Jenny is also survived by her sister-in-law, Elene Page (Dennis), of Wilmington, North Carolina; brothers-in-law, James “Jim” Wilson (Sharon), of Winter Garden, Florida, and Charles “Charlie” Wilson (Nicole), of South Charleston; nephews, Ray Page (Donna), of Boston, John Page (Kelli), of Philadelphia, Brandon Wilson, of Winter Garden, Cody Wilson(Cheyan), and Bailey Wilson, both of South Charleston; nieces, Carrie Kaiser (Brian), of Coraopolis, Morgan Wilson, of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Elizabeth Blake (Adam), of Stuart, Florida, Brianna Wilson, of Winter Garden, and Lily Wilson, of South Charleston; several grand-nephews, grand-nieces, and cousins; and countless more friends and family.
In keeping with her lifetime of dedication to education, Jenny chose to donate her body to science, in care of West Virginia University. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Snodgrass Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark A. Jarrell presiding. Family and friends may visit 2 hours prior to the memorial service, at the funeral home.
