Elizabeth Testa

Elizabeth “Jane” Testa, born in Leewood, WV on 1/13/1938, to the late Joseph and Ida Mae Cochran. She died at home in Bowling Green, OH on 7/17/2022, after a short illness. She lived most of her life in South Charleston, WV

She was preceded in death by her son David Testa Jr. and sister Metzel Turley

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Mary Testa of Ohio; son, PJ Testa (Kelli) of Ohio; daughter, Tina Haywood (Joe) of California; daughter, Debbie Testa (Sylvie) of California; grandchildren, Samuel Testa, Kensley Shannon, Joseph Haywood, Joshua Haywood, Daniel Haywood; great grandchildren, Joseph, Henry, Elijah and Wrenlee Jo; sister, Wilma Testa of South Charleston; brother, William Cochran of South Charleston.

She graduated from South Charleston High School in 1955 and McMillan Hospital School of Nursing in 1958. She worked as a Registered nurse for 42 years.

She was a devout Christian all her life and placed God and family above all else. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh at her family and enjoyed traveling across the country in her younger years.

A private family graveside service was held in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

Arrangements are in care of Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston.

    My Aunt Jane was an inspiration to me. She encouraged me in my own walk with God You could not be with her and not laugh. She was a journalist to be with. I will miss her.
