Donald Hugh Reckart

Rev. Donald Hugh Reckart, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 21,2017 in Fort Gay, WV. He was the husband of Amanda Hilda Reckart. They shared 52 years of marriage together. Born in Cuzzart, WV, he was the son of Benjamin and Donna Reckart.

Rev. Donald H. Reckart was an Apostolic Pentecostal Minister who preached the word of God to the faithful and devoted his life to bring all people to know the truth and salvation of God’s word. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. The influence of his life on others will be remembered and remain an inspiration for years to come.

He was preceded in death by his father Benjamin Reckart, mother Donna Reckart, brother Charles Lynn Reckart, and daughter Bethany LeAnn Reckart.

He is survived by his wife Amanda Hilda Reckart; son Timothy Paul Reckart; daughter Sara Donna Mae Lively; grandson Christopher Reckart; sisters Regina Curby, Donene Patterson, Doris Guarino; brothers Gary Reckart, Kenneth Reckart and Ray Reckart.

The service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 28, 2017at Snodgrass Funeral Home in South Charleston, WV. Burial will be held at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar, WV. Family and friends may visit from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Snodgrass Funeral Home.
