Buddha was a shining light in my life from the first time years ago that I first walked in to Prestigious Nails. His smile and his kindness – it felt as though I had known him forever. Through the years, we became friends as he shared his life, past and present, with me (however, he would never tell me about the scar on his arm). From the time I suffered a stroke three years ago to my last visit before my move to Florida, he would never let me walk anywhere in the shop without him. I would tell him I was ok to walk by myself but he always said, “No, Mama.” I love that boy – our precious, precious Buddha. I still can hardly breathe as the pain of his death engulfs me. What sustains me is knowing he is one of God’s special angels.
